HEADEND EQUIPMENT:
Electroline’s Multiple Dwelling Units (MDU) and Single Family Unit solutions are available in various configurations that drop easily into FTTH, RF over Glass (RFoG), and traditional HFC architectures. There is a complete solution of headend equipment including rach mount transmitters, receivers, and optical amplifiers.
NODES AND OPTICAL NETWORK TERMINATION:
The EDX optical min-node and SFU micro node product line terminates the optical network and provides the transition to a coaxial RF distribution network. In fiber to the premises applications these nodes provide the optical network termination and the demarcation between the distribution network and the subscribers inside RF network.
- HFC – return lasers available in CWDM, 1550nm, 1310nm (DFB or FP)
- GPON & other FTTP – Input fiber carries 4 wavelengths: 1550nm & 1490nm downstream, with 1590nm & 1310nm return. Second fiber connection after triplexer routes 1310nm & 1490nm to the data OLT.
- RFoG (RF over Glass) – 1590nm, or 1610nm RF return laser carries return traffic from cable modem and STB.
With the combination of EDX optical nodes and the SuperCAT Addressable product line, MDUs serviced by GXPONs can now have single or multi-tier video control to each dewlling unit. (see Addressable Taps).
