Addressability for Loop-Wired MDUs

The LoopTap AGL Series is an addressable solution for loop-wired multiple dwelling units (MDU) where each cable service connection or disconnection requires access to the subscriber’s home. Remote management of cable services dramatically reduces costs in this type of high maintenance MDU environment.

The system is composed of an Electroline Control Unit, a power supply, and several addressable LoopTaps installed on existing riser cables. The new LoopTaps with a single agile FSK carrier can also easily be integrated into existing LoopTap systems with a dual FSK carrier through the addition of an Electroline Data Repeater at the headend.
