ELineMonitor^TM - A Service Assurance Performance Tool From Electroline

Montreal, Canada – January 23, 2007 -  Electroline announced today the new ELineMonitor, a tool to help HFC network operations, technical and management staff assure the quality of service the HFC network is providing to subscribers. In the face of competition from satellite, wireless and telco operators, the ELineMonitor is an indispensable tool that will assure QOS and help identify sources of potential service effecting system issues. This product can help improve the profitability of the system operation by reducing the meantime to repair, and provide data that demonstrates system performance.

The DLM is a Line Monitor that uses a DOCSIS® communications channel and leverages Electroline’s experience deploying the leading Status Monitoring Transponder, Hardened DOCSIS® cable modems, and Return System Noise management technologies.  This device implements the temperature hardened monitoring capabilities of Electroline’s DOCSIS® based HMS status monitoring transponders with service and network performance assurance functionality and embodies it in a stand-alone, strand or pedestal mount, weather proof, line powered, package.

Any SNMP management system can monitor key performance indicators from remotely and strategically located ElineMonitors out in the coaxial segment of the network. Additionally, Electroline’s EnetToolBox™ testing server can initiate tests that demonstrate network throughput, display QAM constellation, MER, and VoIP MOS scores. Any authorized staff having network access and a web browser can view all this information.
